🔍 Problem

Neurodiverse clients, including children with sensory processing disorders, faced challenges with engagement and comfort during therapy sessions in a traditional clinic setting.

🎯 Goal

Create a sensory-friendly room in the clinic to improve client comfort, focus, and overall engagement, leading to more effective therapy.

🧠 My Role

I led the design of the sensory room, applying principles of human-centered design. Worked closely with the clinic’s management and staff to ensure that the room met both therapeutic and sensory needs.

• Researched sensory design principles to create an environment conducive to therapy
• Incorporated sensory-friendly materials (lighting, furniture, and sensory tools)
• Collaborated with clinical staff to test and refine the room layout based on client feedback
